Braver is one of seven playable classes in Phantasy Star Online 2, and one of the four available from the very beginning. Bravers can wield gunslashes, katanas, and bullet bows, also having access to the corresponding photon arts. The class is known for both long and close range combat, able to adapt to almost any situation. However, their low vitality can lead to some devastating situations if care is not taken to avoid any leaving any openings. Bravers in Phantasy Star Online 2 feature a high APT base, along with a steady S-ATK and R-ATK base. Braver features a hybrid ability to be able to fully utilize two weapons of different damage types, this being the only other class in the game aside from Bouncer set up like this. Braver's skill tree offers skills that increase all damage types, damage to enemy weak spots/weak elements, and base R-ATK, S-ATK, and APT increases. The trees also offer special skills for the class's weapons, such as an attack boost for countering an enemy attack for Katana, and a temporary sacrifice of damage to the bow's normal attack damage in favor of shooting 3 arrows at once. Braver is the brains of his team. Coming from a group called the Brainmasters, this is really saying something. Braver loves to tinker and create, being something of a mad scientist much like his contemporary Wheeljack. Fortunately for him, Braver's inventions tend to be on a somewhat smaller scale and usually aren't turned on until the kinks are worked out, leaving him a little less prone to self injury. Just because he is a brain doesn't mean Braver is lacking as a warrior. He has managed to earn a place in the elite Brainmasters team and is an accomplished fighter, capable of holding his own against two or three opponents at a time.
