Magneton relay
rdfs:comment
A magneton relay was a component of starships in the 24th century, including Flaxian starships. It was not easily accessible while the ship was underway. In 2371, Miles O'Brien hid a tracking device within the magenton relay of a starship piloted by the Flaxian Retaya at the request of Constable Odo. Hiding the device there ensured that it would not be found. Odo believed that Retaya was involved in an attempt to kill Garak and wanted to follow him in order to find who might have wanted Garak dead. Unfortunately, Retaya's ship exploded due to a bomb planted on the ship by the Romulans before he could travel anywhere. (DS9: "Improbable Cause")
