The Broadsword-class Fighter was designed as the main line starfighter of the Sith Imperial Navy after the Exile of Darth Sirena from the Sith Empire. It was designed to replace the Cutlass-class Fighter which while a great fighter craft was produced primarily in the Sith Empire and lacked the ability to engage capitol ships lacking missiles or heavy weapons. This was the first new design built after Sirena’s exile from the Sith Empire.

The Broadsword-class Fighter was designed as the main line starfighter of the Sith Imperial Navy after the Exile of Darth Sirena from the Sith Empire. It was designed to replace the Cutlass-class Fighter which while a great fighter craft was produced primarily in the Sith Empire and lacked the ability to engage capitol ships lacking missiles or heavy weapons. This was the first new design built after Sirena’s exile from the Sith Empire. The fighter was designed around a flying wing with thought given so superior performance. The fighter craft utilizes S-foils to radiate excess engine heat in the thick of combat, reducing the likelihood of damage to the craft. It was given a small shield generator to protect the craft from glancing and niggling blows. Overall the fighter had a good enough performance to make it the mainline fighter of the Sith Imperial Navy in their exile.
