Linda McIntyre
rdfs:comment
Linda McIntyre was Kyle Winchester's case worker who checked up on Kyle's living situation in February 2017 after the death of his adoptive grandmother and guardian Joanie Dingle. After a mix up with dates, Linda turned up a week earlier than Joanie's widower Zak, who is Kyle's biological grandfather, and his former wife Lisa were expecting her. She overheard as Zak and Lisa argued. Zak, Lisa and Linda returned to Wishing Well Cottage when Linda inquired how Kyle was doing and how they were managing. Lisa insisted Kyle was doing as well as could be hoped but Zak told the social worker he felt like he was failing and what they were doing wouldn't be good enough for Kyle. Zak informed Linda that he felt he and Lisa wouldn't be up to looking after Kyle due to their health issues and their age

Zak informed Linda that he felt he and Lisa wouldn't be up to looking after Kyle due to their health issues and their age. He insisted Kyle would be better off with his biological grandmother Kerry Wyatt so Linda left to talk to Kerry and her partner Dan Spencer. Kerry was delighted with the though of Kyle living wither her but Kyle's other biological grandmother Faith Dingle wasn't pleased with this and informed Linda about Kerry's fire starting antics and how she had her daughter Amy, Kyle's birth mother, was taken into care due to neglect. Kerry lost her temper threatened to run away with Kyle so Linda was left with no option but to take Kyle into care. Zak and Lisa called Linda back to Wishing Well Cottage the following day as they had decided they wanted Kyle to live with them after all. Linda explained Kyle had been placed with a foster family in Harrogate and the process of getting him back wouldn't be as simple as they thought. She suggested they apply for a temporary parental order but that could get some time, but couldn't guarantee they would get Kyle back. At a hearing a few days later Zak and Lisa managed to get Kyle back.
