The Gyrowheel 1.42.08 recycling droid was used onboard ships to collect and recycle garbage. They used enzymes to break garbage down and turn it into edible meals. They were designed to be used on ships that had to go long periods between restocking. The gyrowheel droid was a simple remote that patrolled the ship or base it was assigned to looking for biological refuse. It would dump whatever it found into biotic vats full of enzymes that would break down the nutrients into a thick vat of rich organic soup. They had four arms, traveled on one wheel and was stabilized by a gyroscopic balance system. They were usually controlled by a central computer and had little individual intelligence. Recycling droids were used on the Eye of Palpatine.
