Rodney Grant was a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and a former Duke University basketball player who President Jed Bartlet called in to play as a ringer in a pick up game against Toby Ziegler, Josh Lyman and Charlie Young. Interesting writing fact: Aside from playing professional basketball in the NBA, Juwan Howard played College basketball and he and his team were often referred to as "The Fab 5". Aside from controversial issues among the players themselves, one of their most rivaled opponents in College basketball was Duke University. Clearly one of the writers of West Wing knew about this as it flies over most of our heads.
