Esther Mitchener (née Spalding; 17 August 1871 – 13 April 1983) was an Amercian woman notable for her long life. She was born in Edgerton, Kansas on 17 August 1871 as the eldest of four children to James and Esther Spaulding. The family moved to Stockton, Utah when Esther was a young girl. She married William Mitchener in Stockton on 30 June 1897. The couple had one daughter, Marcella. Esther and her husband moved to Seattle, Washington in 1928. William died in 1942 and Esther later moved in with her daughter. Esther Mitchener died in Seattle on 13 April 1983, aged 111 years, 239 days.
