Gremlop and Drew, later known as Gremlop, Drew and Quarter, was a stiltshop in the Copperwood district of Great Glade. It was owned by Friston Drew and his son, Branxford, and they fixed a whole array of lamps. Nate Quarter and his apprentice, Slip, worked there in return for sixty gladers a week and comfortable lodging. Weelum, the gatekeeper, was a good friend of Nate and helped to defend Nate from Branxford. When Branxford discovered that his father was about to disinherit him, he rigged a Phraxlamp to blow up Gremlop and Drew, along with his father. He then framed Nate and his friends for the crime, and they were forced to flee Great Glade.
