Stop-motion (also known as claymation) is the process of moulding clay figures or using toys such as Lego to make films. To do this the animator moves the objects very slightly and take pictures of them. Then, they upload the pictures into secondary softwares, which play the snapshots at a speedy framerate to make it look like the figures are moving. This method of animation is the earliest and dates a long time back, where it was used in the first Walt Disney Animations. Stop-motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.
