Froggy's Favorites
rdfs:comment
A series of albums, offering selected material from NRBQ's extensive collection of self-recorded live shows. The "Froggy" in question is John DeAngelis, who listened to the tapes and chose which songs to include. Froggy the Gremlin, pictured on the album cover, was a mischievous puppet on the Andy Devine children's show "Andy's Gang" who would trick the human characters into saying and doing silly or embarrassing things. As of 2006, the double-cd Volume 1 of the series has been released, and Volume 2 is in the works.

Apparently John was talking once while NRBQ were performing, and Terry, alluding to the character, yelled "Shut up, Froggy!" in a humorous attempt to end the distraction. The nickname stuck. As of 2006, the double-cd Volume 1 of the series has been released, and Volume 2 is in the works.
