The New Macross-class (also known as Macross class transports) is a class of space ships first appearing in the anime, Macross 7. Later New Macross-class has been developed into Island Cluster-class; Macross Frontier main ship was an Island-class. New Macross-class ships are actually composed of two distinct, and independently mobile parts that usually are docked together except for emergencies. Those two parts are the military capital ship Battle-class Stealth Space Attack Carrier and the civilian City-class ship.
