Monte Cristo
rdfs:comment
Monte Cristo, the mount of Christ, is the governmental estate of Junee, New South Wales, a recovering settlement in Australia. Embedded inside a hillock, both above and below ground, this pre-war Victorian marvel is the beacon of Christianity and apocalyptic perseverance. The head of the residence, Nathan Crawley, envisions the homestead as how the world was, and how it should be; running strict laws and judicial procedures onto his settlement of Junee. Monte Cristo is a French software publisher that published the expansion packs First Class and Evolution in 2001 and 2002. Founded in 1995, Monte Cristo now has offices in Paris and Kiev. "Monte Cristo is built upon the remains of the Scavenger Isle settlement. Following a misunderstanding when a vagabond under the guise of Scavenger Island dazed Laketown diplomats, we responded with force, and following the Nexal invasion we moved onto the island." -excerpt of the Monte Cristo declaration, by former Count Roderik. Much of the island's fame derives from its providing the setting for part of the novel The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas. Monte Cristo Multimedia is a French video game developer, designer and publisher. The company was established in 1995 at Paris (where their headquarters are still today) by Jean-Marc de Fety and Jean-Cristophe Marquis. Jean-Cristophe Marquis and Jérome Gastaldi are the head of the company as of 2002. The company named themselves after The Count of Monte Cristo adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. The company declared bankruptcy in 2010.
