"So Much Alike" is a Sesame Street song performed by Alessia Cara in Season 48. Surrounded by photos of different types of people, Cara sings about how despite our differences, there's a lot alike between us. She's joined by Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, Ernie, Bert and two kids. Composer McPherseon reflected on the song in an exchange with CityPages.com: “McPherson “first submitted a tune that was roundly (and rightfully!) criticized for being way too sing-songy and childish,” he disclosed in an email, but eventually he came up with a composition mature enough for Sesame Street's discerning viewers.”
