Joshua Norwood Thorn was the son of Leah and Jared Thorn, the brother of Abel Thorn, and the uncle of Seth Thorn. In life, he had served as a member of the Regimental Officer Corps. He died around his mid-twenties, and was almost certainly interred in the Thorn family crypt on Croatoa. He also remained in the corporeal world as a ghost, wearing "a wide-brimmed hat," "a uniform and carrying a sword."
