A romance between Klein and Schmidt resulted in a marriage in 2849, and a year later daughter Barbara was born. The marriage was not a very happy one, as Ewald was a lot abraod for business and it was known that he had numorous affairs with other women. The marriage ended in a divorce in 2860.
