The Shift Age
rdfs:comment
The Shift Age is a book written by the futurist David Houle in 2007. In the book Houle defines the new age humanity has entered after the Information Age. Houle defined this new Shift Age and the “global stage of human evolution”. He defined the three forces of the Shift Age as being the Flow to Global, the Flow to the Individual and the ever Accelerating Electronic Connectedness of humanity. The book while not technically a “best seller” has been acknowledged as a very influential book as it has been read and used by CEOs around the world to chart long term strategy, particularly during the extreme global recession of 2008-2011.

n22:abstract
The Shift Age is a book written by the futurist David Houle in 2007. In the book Houle defines the new age humanity has entered after the Information Age. Houle defined this new Shift Age and the “global stage of human evolution”. He defined the three forces of the Shift Age as being the Flow to Global, the Flow to the Individual and the ever Accelerating Electronic Connectedness of humanity. The book while not technically a “best seller” has been acknowledged as a very influential book as it has been read and used by CEOs around the world to chart long term strategy, particularly during the extreme global recession of 2008-2011. The book flowed out of Houle’s blog www.evolutionshift.com that was launched in 2006. The blog was what brought Houle widespread awareness around the world. Subsequent to the publishing of “The Shift Age” Houle started to publish the Shift Age Newsletter. In 2011, Houle brought the book to Sourcebooks who republished the original work but with a new foreword.
