A native of Byss, he was appointed by Emperor Palpatine to be the captain of the Eclipse II, the second of the massive Eclipse-class Star Dreadnoughts, in 0 BBY. After the death of Palpatine in 4 ABY at Endor, he originally used the first Eclipse as his flagship, and when it was destroyed, switched to the Eclipse II. The captain was present with him at Korriban and Onderon. When his forces failed to capture the escaping Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo, he was executed, and replaced by Vyrdran Yakata, a Dark Side Elite, as the commander of the Eclipse II. However, the vessel was destroyed not too long afterwards by R2-D2, who caused it to collide with the Captain Fessix was in command of the Star Destroyer Discord in 4 ABY.
