The Heating System is an object in Metroid Prime Hunters, found in the Ice Hive room on Arcterra. The device is currently non-operational due to lack of maintenance, which allowed ice to collect and freeze the insides of the pipes. [Source] Heating systems were a type of armor enhancement available during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire following the Battle of Yavin. The system consisted of double-insulation and small, efficient heating elements that prevented the wearer from suffering in low temperatures and allowed them to survive in environments dozens of degrees below what would normally be tolerable. Heating systems could be installed in any sealable armor that covered the entire body, and were installed in the laminate armor of Imperial snowtroopers. Other models of heating system included Atlas Corp's DL87 armor enhancement and the Min-Dal Company's Model 00 heating system.
