Det Ny Kammerkor – in English ‘The New Chamber Choir' is a choir from Aarhus,Denmark. It currently consists of 30 singers and has been an amateur choir with high musical standards since the choir was founded in 2000. The choir develops continously and constantly seeks to improve for instance by giving 10-12 concerts anually and participating in international choral competitions. It is worth mentioning that the choir won third place in The 3rd International Choir Festival in Randers in August 2009. Det Ny Kammerkor sings a cappella music from a wide variety of composer’s and ages – but the choir’s heart and expertise is found within the contemporary choral repertoire. The choir eagerly engages in working relationsships with contemporary composers and has among others a co-operation with Danish composers Søren Birch and Thomas Løbger. Det Ny Kammerkor has participated in 11 episodes of ”Før Søndagen”, a classic programme by the Danish public service station, DR. The choir has also sung at aid-concerts benefitting World Hospice and Palliative Care Day performing alongside, among others, the Danish vocal Group ”Basix”, and the classical guitarist Kaare Norge. ”Go Lovely Rose”, the Choir’s first CD, was released in september 2010. Det Ny Kammerkor is conducted by Anders Gaden
