Ray Horton
rdfs:comment
Steelers secondary coach Ray Horton, considered a prime candidate to leave to become defensive coordinator at the University of Houston, did not get that job. The school hired Philadelphia Eagles coach Brian Stewart as its defensive coordinator. Horton's status with the Steelers, where he has coached the past six seasons, remains unclear. Horton, hired in 2004 as the team's assistant defensive backs coach by Bill Cowher, was kept on the new staff by coach Mike Tomlin, who promoted him to defensive backs coach in 2007. Raymond Anthony Horton (born April 12, 1960) is the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns. He is also a former American football cornerback in the National Football League for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys. During that time, he recorded 19 interceptions and returned them for 264 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also recovered 8 fumbles, which he returned for 48 yards and a touchdown. Horton was the starting punt returner for the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII and won a championship ring in his last season with the Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVII.
