Vegetable
rdfs:comment
Vegetable, also known as Veggie for short, is a relative of the disease "fruit", except that the sympton is having an itch every once in a while. There are 3 cases worldwide. In April 2151, the transporter aboard Enterprise NX-01 had been cleared for bio-transport, which Malcolm Reed took as meaning fruits and vegetables, but Travis Mayweather informed him it was cleared for beaming Humans. (ENT: "Broken Bow") The term "vegetable" could also apply to a person who had suffered brain damage. Kor threatened to turn James T. Kirk into a vegetable when the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets were engaged in the First Klingon-Federation War in 2267. (TOS: "Errand of Mercy" ) In the episode, Kor pronounces the word "vegetable" as "veggie-table". There are 12 basic Vegetable food items in-game — 8 with a cooked version, and then Petals, Foliage, Lichen and Glow Berries, which are also counted as vegetables. (There are two additional Vegetables in Reign of GiantsFile:Reign of Giants icon.png and two additional Vegetables in Shipwrecked.File:Shipwrecked icon.png) Corn, Pumpkin, and Eggplant can only be found through Farming by planting Seeds, while the rest of the Vegetables can be found throughout the world. (Carrots and Sweet PotatosFile:Shipwrecked icon.png can also be farmed.) Vegetables are a type of food eaten by the liberal elite. Consumption of vegetables has been scientifically proven to reduce brain and gut mass by as much as 50% within three months. Compared to fruits - such as bananas - they are, in fact, Spawn of Satan. Vegetables are also a crucial ingredient in Vegemite. Also, what Terry Schiavo wasn't. Of course, liberals had no problems when the Clinton administration successfully made an effort to elevate salsa as a vegetable. A vegetable is a type of plant matter which is considered appropriate for use as food. Some non-plants, like mushrooms and other fungi are sometimes considered to be vegetable matter. The definition generally excludes nuts, grains, seeds, herbs, spices and sweet fruits (although some fruits, like tomatoes, are called vegetables). Various parts of plants are eaten, including the roots and leaves. While many vegetables are known to originate on Earth, there are many otherworldly variations of familiar Human foodstuffs. Vegetable (野菜ひっこ抜き, Uproot Vegetables), also known as Turnip, is Peach's Down Special Move. It involves her picking large turnips from the ground. These turnips function similarly to items, though they disappear if they touch the ground. The faces on the Vegetables depict the damage and knockback that will be given, and are picked randomly, though better faces are, of course, rarer. Vegetables fall very slowly, and as such, it is very easy to grab one after having been hit by one. As such, turnips will disappear in mid-air after a certain amount of time. Vegetables are items collected in Ice Climber. There are many types of vegetables but the most noticeable is the corn which gives the player one life. Another vegetable includes the eggplant, which appears in the first stage of the game. Eggplants are often considered the symbol for the Ice Climber game. They also made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a food item only on the Ice Climber's home stage: "Summit" in a new 3D appearence. Vegetable (野菜ひっこ抜き, Yasai hikkonuki, lit. Vegetable Uprooting) is Peach's down special move in Super Smash Flash 2, originating from the game Super Mario Bros. 2. Peach pulls a vegetable out of the ground and throws it at the opponent. She can also pull out turnips on platforms or planes that are not on the ground but obviously, she can't pluck vegetables in the air. Turnips will out-prioritize all other projectiles in the game, including those with transcendent priority. There are many random faces in the turnips which do their respective damage, begin a "happy" face that does 7% and to a "stitch" face doing 36% with good knockback. There is a chance that Peach will pluck out the Pokémon Oddish, which deals a weak 2%, has very little knockback, and cannot be thrown vertically, but stays o Vegetables are a type of plant that ranges in colour, from green to red, orange to yellow. Notable examples of vegetables would be cauliflower, corn, carrot, onion, cabbage, lettuce and tomatoes to name a few. They are considered healthy towards a person's diet and well being. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it. Vegetables were any part of a plant that was consumed by other lifeforms for food. While training on Dathomir, Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos subsisted on vegetables and burra fish stew. Vegetables is a category of Seeds. Vegetables are items that can be pulled out of the ground in Subcon in Super Mario Bros. 2 and used as a weapon. They are the only effective weapon against Wart, and in actual fact one of the varieties of Vegetable isn't seen before your encounter with the bad boy. There are two varieties of vegetable; ripe and unripe. The ripe vegetables are considerably larger; but are still just as effective when thrown. In everyday usage, a vegetable is any part of a plant that is consumed by humans as food as part of a savoury course or meal. Many people believe that the so-called "vegetable" is a form of food product in which it is ingested through the mouth. We, the people of America, however, know that a vegetable is actually a Martian form of cheese, Caseus martius. Unlike the earth's cheese, however, vegetables cause bad gas and hallucinations. Although edible, over dosage of vegetables cause the consumer to collapse into a state of unconsciousness. Many leading scientists posit that cruciferous vegetables such as Broccoli, many forms of lettuce, and certain freshwater fish actually originate on earth. In Brawl, Vegetables have a shorter overall presence. They disappear when they hit the ground rather than going through it. If Peach is interrupted while plucking one from the ground, it will remain in the ground for a brief period, during which anyone can pluck it out. They also disappear upon hitting a shield or attack, rather than bouncing. In addition, the chances of Peach pulling out something other than a turnip is greater. Size scaling is more refined in Brawl, so if Peach grows/shrinks while she is holding a Vegetable, they will also change in size with her. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Vegetables last longer on the stage than in Brawl. They will linger on stage if they touch the ground for a few seconds before vanishing and can be picked up by fighters while it is on the ground. Vegetable, also known as Veggie for short, is a relative of the disease "fruit", except that the sympton is having an itch every once in a while. There are 3 cases worldwide. There is a chance that Peach will pluck out the Pokémon Oddish, which deals a weak 2%, has very little knockback, and cannot be thrown vertically, but stays on the battlefield longer than any other turnip and will deal poison damage over time. Once the Oddish hits a character, it sounds its cry from the Pokémon games. Occasionally, Peach will pull something else out of the ground, such as a Bob-omb or a Beam Sword but those chances are extremely rare. Note that no matter where Peach is facing, she will always throw her turnips from the left side if she throws them vertically. When playing Team battle, turnips can damage allies. Spock instructed Hikaru Sulu to think of eating a raw vegetable in order to guard his thoughts from the Kzinti Telepath in 2269. (TAS: "The Slaver Weapon") The Bajoran farmer Mullibok cultivated several sorts of vegetables and roots on his farm on the Bajoran moon Jerrado. He started to prepare them when he invited Kira Nerys for supper in 2369. (DS9: "Progress") On Rom's Naming Day, Quark substituted the presents for old vegetables. (DS9: "Rivals") Joseph Sisko grew his own vegetables for use in his restaurant. Benjamin Sisko and his brothers cultivated them every day. (DS9: "Paradise", "Homefront") Benjamin later grew his own vegetables in one of Deep Space 9's hydroponic gardens. He used some of those vegetables in a Thanksgiving dinner he cooked for the senior staff in 2372. (DS9: "Blaze of Glory") Feragoit goulash, a food prepared by Neelix, was made out of vegetables. (VOY: "Parallax") In 2375, the USS Voyager crew used cargo containers filled with vegetables to fool the Devore into believing that the Brenari refugees they rescued earlier were still hidden aboard in transporter suspension. (VOY: "Counterpoint") Vegetables are items that can be pulled out of the ground in Subcon in Super Mario Bros. The (fresh) carrot and fresh potato are food items found in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4. __TOC__ Vegetables is a category of Seeds. if you hate vegetables, you'll love eating my pussy ~ Tamia A vegetable is a type of crop available on FarmVille. Vegetables were actually used as currency in some eastern countries during the 1700's. But when traders from civilized countries such as England brought disease to the vegetable the eastern broc market crashed causing what is now known as "The Great Vege-ation". In 1981, there was a Republican effort to elevate the condiment ketchup as being a vegetable. As usual, liberals disagreed & the effort to promote ketchup to being a vegetable was defeated. As a concession, though, ketchup is often considered a "Dwarf vegetable" by most amateur nutritionists. Of course, liberals had no problems when the Clinton administration successfully made an effort to elevate salsa as a vegetable. In everyday usage, a vegetable is any part of a plant that is consumed by humans as food as part of a savoury course or meal. The term "vegetable" is somewhat arbitrary, and largely defined through culinary and cultural tradition. It normally excludes other main types of plant food, fruits, nuts and cereal grains but includes seeds such as pulses. The original meaning of the word vegetable, still used in biology, was to describe all types of plant, as in the terms "vegetable kingdom" and "vegetable matter". Originally, vegetables were collected from the wild by hunter-gatherers and entered cultivation in several parts of the world, probably during the period 10,000 BC to 7,000 BC, when a new agricultural way of life developed. At first plants which grew locally would have been cultivated, but as time went on, trade brought exotic crops from elsewhere to add to domestic types. Nowadays, most vegetables are grown all over the world as climate permits, and crops may be cultivated in protected environments in less suitable locations. China is the largest producer of vegetables, and global trade in agricultural products allows consumers to purchase vegetables grown in faraway countries. The scale of production varies from subsistence farmers supplying the needs of their family for food, to agribusinesses with vast acreages of single product crops. Depending on the type of vegetable concerned, harvesting the crop is followed by grading, storing, processing and marketing. Vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked and play an important role in human nutrition, being mostly low in fat and carbohydrates, but high in vitamins, minerals and fibre. Many governments encourage their citizens to consume plenty of fruit and vegetables, five or more portions a day often being recommended. The Armada was an agricultural colony which produced crops of vegetables that fed people throughout a sector. (TNG comic: "Space Seeds") Vegetables are a type of plant that ranges in colour, from green to red, orange to yellow. Notable examples of vegetables would be cauliflower, corn, carrot, onion, cabbage, lettuce and tomatoes to name a few. They are considered healthy towards a person's diet and well being.
