Warrior-class Gunship Mark II
rdfs:comment
The Warrior-class Gunship Mark II is a further derivation of the Warrior-class Gunship developed jointly by REC and the New Republic Defense Fleet. While the original Warrior-class was heavily focused on being a capital ship hunter, the Mark II version is designed to be more of a balanced support ship capable of making close-in, pinpoint attacks on larger ships using its quad turbolasers and starfighter-grade proton torpedoes. It also seems some use as a mass starfighter screener; Its suites of quad weapons allow the gunship to use a wide variety of fire patterns and intensities, first pioneered by the DBY-827 turbolasers used on the Venators, but the quad turbolasers typically are used to put up massive flak walls while the quad autoblasters and proton torpedo launchers typically pick off

n35:abstract
The Warrior-class Gunship Mark II is a further derivation of the Warrior-class Gunship developed jointly by REC and the New Republic Defense Fleet. While the original Warrior-class was heavily focused on being a capital ship hunter, the Mark II version is designed to be more of a balanced support ship capable of making close-in, pinpoint attacks on larger ships using its quad turbolasers and starfighter-grade proton torpedoes. It also seems some use as a mass starfighter screener; Its suites of quad weapons allow the gunship to use a wide variety of fire patterns and intensities, first pioneered by the DBY-827 turbolasers used on the Venators, but the quad turbolasers typically are used to put up massive flak walls while the quad autoblasters and proton torpedo launchers typically pick off those ships that do get past the flak wall. Like its predecessor, the Warrior II has decent enough atmospheric ability to allow it to support ground operations planetside.
