The militia was perhaps not as effective as the Confederacy may have liked, or at least per the preferences of Magistrate Collins. With the knowledge that the Sons of Korhal were on Chau Sara, he called in an Alpha Squadron force to deal with the rebels, wanting to leave the militia out of the matter. The Chau Sara Colonial Militia was a home defense force for the Fringe World of Chau Sara. The militia was perhaps not as effective as the Confederacy may have liked, or at least per the preferences of Magistrate Collins. With the knowledge that the Sons of Korhal were on Chau Sara, he called in an Alpha Squadron force to deal with the rebels, wanting to leave the militia out of the matter. Later, he was heard bemoaning the lack of tenacity and spirit in the Militia's officers. The militia played no distinct role in the early stages of the battle against the zerg on Chau Sara, but with the steady encroachment of the invaders and the Confederacy placing the colony under a lockdown, the militia would have invariably come into contact with the xenomorphs. The militia would have been wiped out by the protoss bombardment of the planet.
