Roger Grainger appeared in two roles in Coronation Street: a Man on Video at the Bill & Coo Video Dating Agency in May 1983 and Clifford Duckworth's solicitor Mr Deakin in July 1995. He has also appeared in ITV Play of the Week, All Creatures Great and Small, The Darling Buds of May, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Heartbeat and four different roles in Last of the Summer Wine. In addition he is is a registered Dramatherapist and a Chartered Counselling Psychologist. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Leeds University as well as Doctorates in Theology and Implicit Religion and is also one of the founders of the National Funeral College and is the author of several books including The Roots of Drama Therapy, The Social Symbolism of Grief and Mourning and Researching the Arts Therapies.
