AK-series Security Droid
rdfs:comment
Introduced in 412 BBY, the AK-series security droid served as the best – and only – dedicated non-lethal security droid on the Confederate market for over two centuries. From 186 BBY, it was largely replaced by the MS-series of security droids, but remained popular with cash-strapped companies even after 186 BBY. By 18 ABY, it had reached its ninth incarnation (AK-9). Armed with two repeating stun blasters and 6 short-range ion blasters, and well-armoured to protect from blaster, kinetic and ion energy, the AK-series were effective if slow security droids.
