Toby Gray (born 1952, Ohio) Playing various strings and keyboard instruments since the age of five years old. 'studied music at the private university Butler and began touring in 1972. He is the current bassist with the Summer of Love psychedelic folk-rock band It's a Beautiful Day, performing with them since 1980 and co writing the instrumental Santa Cruz with David Laflamme as well as producing It's A Beautiful Day's "Live In Seattle" and co-producing "Beyond Dreams" and "Misery Loves Company". He also has worked for Dick Clark and Larry Klein as well as played with Howard Roberts, Larry McDonald, Gandharvas (Indianapolis), Lee Oscar, Barry "Fish" Melton, and Jerry Miller to name a few. He appeared in Chet Helms 2005 Tribal Stomp documentary and the 40th Anniversary of the Monterey Pop F
