Karakorum
rdfs:comment
Karakorum was the Mongol capital, built upon the great steppes and consisting of tents. By 1289, the capital had moved to the Imperial Palace in Peking, leaving Karakorum abandoned. (TV: Marco Polo) Karakorum (or Qaraqorum) is the Mongolian capital in most of the Civilization games and a Mongolian city in Sid Meier's Civilization. In real life, it is a ruined city in present-day Mongolia. When Lasoporp Rof arrived in the distant past, he believed he was at Genghis Khan's imperial yurt in Karakorum. He was soon disabused of this notion by T.G. Kahn, at whose Los Angeles office he had arrived instead.
