Epsilon Squad was an elite SpecOps unit created by Keldon Tyfus three years after he formed the Shadow Imperium. Following the example that the elite Omega Squad demonstrated in action, Epsilon Squad was, unlike Omega, designed for Shadow Ops missions. The unit saw little applicable action throughout since its founding, and was due to be dissolved prior to the starting of the Shadow War. When Darth Trayus initiated this war, he assigned Epsilon Squad to Alexis Kiara, whereupon they accompanied her to Dathomir to participate in the insurgency that was to take place. Their specific assignment was to make certain that this rebellion would be blamed on the New Republic.
