n12:abstract
C.H.L.O.E., also known as The Spire, is a double helix pillar seen at the end of Minecraft - "Shadow of Israphel" Part 33: The Deepcore, and throughout most of "Shadow of Israphel" Part 34: The Spire. The pillar has a Hellgate located at the top. This tower was featured at the end of the elongated minecart ride out of the Deepcore Ruins. It has a broken service elevator clearly labeled 'out of order' yet the heroes clambered inside hoping it would take them upwards, but just trapped them and forced them to break the doors down. The C.H.L.O.E. originally awakened and empowered the "Dark God" of The Sands, but was used by Verigan Antioch, with the aid of the dwarves of Stoneholm, to empower The Wall and seal the god. It's operation was messed with by King Finbar, and was used to try to raise the god again via a Hellgate placed on it that led to the JADE SENTINEL Central Power Core. Though he succeeded in beginning the God's awakening, he was slain by an enraged Knight Peculier. It was also used by Verigan to hide the final Map Fragment beneath a pile of dirt. It may be related to a discovery made on the Yogscast Museum Server, a similar object found through the use of the X-Ray mod. At the base of that object was a sign by L. Wilson, and a building. The sign also mentioned the stealing of life energy, so, since Finbar's powers may be life energy draining, this could be the place where he got the idea to do so. One sign details the work of operation C.H.L.O.E. 1. * Capture and store life essence. 2. * Distribute unevenly throughout Minecraftia. 3. * Imminent cataclysmic destruction. -L.Wilson.
