Meth were the only Bayrock hair metal band that existed from 1999 to 2003. Much like Overbored, they were pretty much a combination of different bands on the same stage. Guitarist Shane Quinlan and drummer Shawn Papineau went through various band names while gigging at St. Joseph's Intermediate, while singer Brad Penney, his leather jacket and his cousin Carl Penney came over from something completely different in Salmon Cove. Masked, shirtless and generally kinky bass player Liam Dawson and keyboardist Stephanie Lockyer were also there. They covered the Guns n' Roses version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door at Duck Hunt. The Meth was a breed of light warhorse known for its short legs and sturdy disposition. Meths were first bred in Unther near the border to Chessenta around 1000 DR. They were used for pulling chariots in the Old Empires. A Meth was usually gray or other solid colors. A Meth was stronger, tougher, and wiser than most light horses, but it ran a little more slowly, owing to its compact build. Meths were popular in the Vilhon Reach and cost about 45 platinum pieces.
