BCS
rdfs:comment
The Bowl Championship Series, or BCS for short, is a consortium of the top 5 college football bowl games for NCAA Division I teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Teams vie during the regular season to be eligible for one of the 5 bowl games in the BCS, either by automatic bids due to winning the conference championship in one of the six BCS conferences, or by being selected to play in one of the four remaining at-large bowl spots. The top two teams at the end of the regular season are selected to play in the BCS Title Game, which serves as a minimal type of playoff in lieu of a legitimate playoff that is endorsed by the NCAA. The BCS (Bullshit Championship Series) is the system used to determine the champion of American college football. It was first used in 1998 when ABC told University presidents, chancellors, Fuhrers and viceroys it would be really cool to have some big, huge, Super Bowl like event they could hype with words like (cue heavy metal music) "BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - 8 MEGA TEAMS, ONE MEGA GOAL - THIS JANUARY ON ABC". The University heads thought that the heavy metal music kicked some serious Hawk butt (with the exception of the then-president of the University of Iowa, the Mary-Sue character, who thought that the music was lame-o) and thus decided to approve the BCS. BCS is a combat system used in SWRP. It was shortly the official system of Yavin 8. BCS is a band consisting of at least four members. The BCS (formerly the British Computer Society) is the Chartered Institute for IT in the United Kingdom. Its mission is to enable the information society. It promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice.
