After the planet's parent sun was engulfed and smothered by the Leigun crystolsis superweapon, it went from being a lush world to a frozen wasteland. As of March 15, 3021, the small crystallized stellar core of its former sun, about the size of Jupiter, exited the system on its own accord via Leigun manipulations, leaving Palunt and its sister planets as wanderers drifting aimlessly in interstellar space in all directions.
