Each player's setup consists of three parts; A posable monster figure, a "fighting gun" and a barcode disk. There are 100 different monsters, with varying abilities. The monster is mounted onto the gun and connected to the base with a remote control wire. The barcode disk contains move data and is inserted into a sensor on the back of the gun, where the players secret moves are read. In a game the players connect their guns and attempt to defeat their opponents' monster by hitting its weak points or knocking it off its gun. The monsters moves are determined by pushing the different buttons to kick, guard or punch or pulling the trigger to apply their finishing move. Known monsters include Killer Emaada, Alti and Wild Spider.
