Arnold Jones, Sr. (2003 TV series)
rdfs:comment
Arnold Casey Jones, Sr. is the father of Casey Jones. In the 2003 animated series, Jones was a commodity dealer, which the street gang the Purple Dragons and their leader Hun tried to extort protection money from. His shop was torched by a teenaged Hun in the past, as Arnold an upright and justice-loving man refused to pay the protection money. Jones then wanted to go to the police to report the Dragons. When Arnold went to the police about Hun's threats, it is heavily implied that Hun killed him. Arnold Sr.'s refusal to give in to Hun's demands, and his insistence on doing the right thing even if it was dangerous, were cornerstones in shaping his son's thirst for justice which ultimately drove him to his double life as a vigilante.
