Scout Rifle
rdfs:comment
A scout rifle is a class of general-purpose rifles. A scout is usually under 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds), less than a meter long, is fitted with a sling, has iron sights and a scope, and capable of hitting man-sized targets out to 450 meters without scopes. The concept of scout rifles is attributed to Jeff Cooper, founder of Gunsite, master marksman and an NRA and Southwest Pistol League Board Member. His idea was for a general purpose rifle, designed to do anything asked of it.
