The river Nenning was a river of the Beleriand that had its wells in the hills lying north-west in West Beleriand south of the Ered Wethrin, near the Woods of Núath. It ran to the bay of Eglarest where it met the sea Belegaer and also served as a the border between the Havens of the Falas and Finrod's realm of Nargothrond. Nenning – rzeka płynąca w Beleriandzie, a dokładniej w jego zachodniej części. Swój bieg zaczynała w niewielkich górach, na południe od Nevrastu. Następnie przepływała przez Falas, aby dotrzeć do morza Belegaer. U jej ujścia w Erze Drzew i Pierwszej Erze istniał port Eglarest, wybudowany przez Falathrimów. Prawdopodobnie stanowiła granicę między terytorium Círdana i rejonem Nargothrondu. Rok po Nirnaeth Arnoediad Morgoth wzdłuż tej rzeki (oraz Brithon) wysłał wojska aby zajęła dwa porty w Falas. Nenning (Sindarin: Gischtwasser) war ein Fluß in West Beleriand. Der Oberlauf des Flusses bildete die Grenze im Süden des Reiches Nargothrond. Seinen Ursprung hatte der Nenning in den Ered Wethrin.
