Vegepygmy
rdfs:comment
A vegepygmy is a sentient plant that is created when a small or larger creature is infected and slain by russet mold. Vegepygmies, also known as moldies, mold folk or mold men, were fungus creatures that lived in dark forests or underground, hunting for sustenance and spreading the spores from which they reproduced. They were spawned from dead humanoids or giants that were killed by a type of mold commonly known as russet mold. Vegepygmies are strange, humanoid creatures that stand about 3 feet tall and are made completely of vegetative material. Despite that, they do seem to have a basic form of intelligence. According to elven legend, the vegepygmy species originates from goblins. Goblins infected with spore sickness from the russet mould are said to turn into vegepygmies. If this legend is true, the vegepygmies themselves are able to reproduce, since it is unlikely that the sheer number of vegepygmies in existence can originate from spore infection by the rare russet mold. Vegepygmies are found in densely forested areas, such as the Tearwood Forest near Tal'entylar. Interestingly enough, they are not found in areas where russet mould cannot or does not grow.
