Edsilia Francisca Rombley is a Dutch singer that represented the Netherlands twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, in 1998 and 2007. Her career started in 1995 in a singing group called DIGNITY and released two singles with them. She left the group a year later and went on to produce solo singles and albums internationally. In 1998 she gained 150 points and placed 4th in that year's Eurovision Song Contest, representing her home country with the song Hemel en Aarde - the best placing the Netherlands have had since their 1975 win. In 2002, her album "Face to Face" was released and produced by her husband-to-be Tjeerd Oosterhuis, and following on from that was the song "What Have You Done To Me?" which was nominated for a few awards. A few years later, in 2007, she represented the Netherlands again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, with the song On Top of the World. She failed to qualify from the semi finals, but however she did present the final votes that year with Paul de Leeuw. "On Top Of The World" was also released in Dutch as "Nooit Meer Zonder Jou". She presented the Dutch votes again in 2015, wearing the dress that her sister-in-law, Trijntje Oosterhuis, wore at her rehearsals. Edsilia Rombley (b. 1978) is a Dutch singer. Rombley appeared in the Sesamstraat Kerstspecial 2009, singing "Stoepkrijt" (Sidewalk Chalk) with Pino. This song also aired in a normal episode on October 29. (YouTube)
