V2 Rocket
rdfs:comment
Germany used the V2 in 1943 and 1944 against the Race's Conquest Fleet and successfully destroyed two of the Race's star ships on the ground. The Race was shocked to discover the Germans had begun experimenting with such weapons, with Fleetlord Atvar going as far to accuse his intelligence males of lying. Despite this, the rockets were still woefully inadequate compared with Race missiles. Although the Race was able to destroy the V2's with anti-missiles during the early stages of the war, the Race became vulnerable once these weapons were depleted and it was unable to manufacture more on its own immediately. Combined with the Race's inability to permanently destroy the production factories and detect all German launch pads, the Germans used to missiles up until the end of the war. The V2 Rocket (sometimes simply called V2) is a unit which shoots very powerful long-range rockets. It is dangerous against anything it hits. It is ideal for destroying blobs or base defenses. However, it is extremely weak against any units that manages to get close enough. The V2 rocket shoots rockets which deal more damage than artilleries, and it has 100% precent accuracy, unlike its artillery counterpart. It is also faster to manuver. But its range is shorter, and its rockets have narrower blast radius, making the artillery superior at dealing with blobs or large armies.

n19:abstract
The United States deployed a similar weapon designed by Robert Goddard against the Lizards in 1944. Soviet players sometimes apply an iron curtain to mobile flak and attack the V2 with them.
