Skull Kid plays with the Ocarina of Time before Link wakes up. Skull Kid then steals Epona and rides off with Tael and Tatl. After landing in Skull Kid's lair, he uses the power of the Majora's Mask to turn Link into a Deku Scrub. Tatl becomes seperated from Skull Kid and Tael. Tatl then becomes Link's fairy companion.

Link is riding through the Lost Woods on his horse, Epona. A Skull Kid, with two fairies called Tatl and Tael ambush Link, knocking him out. Skull Kid plays with the Ocarina of Time before Link wakes up. Skull Kid then steals Epona and rides off with Tael and Tatl. After landing in Skull Kid's lair, he uses the power of the Majora's Mask to turn Link into a Deku Scrub. Tatl becomes seperated from Skull Kid and Tael. Tatl then becomes Link's fairy companion. They go to a weird building where the Happy Mask Salesman tells Link to retrieve the Majora's Mask from Skull Kid. After reaching Clock Town, Link and Tatl find out that Skull Kid is using the power of the Majora's Mask to bring the moon onto Termina. The only way to stop the moon is to awaken the four giants. After returning back to normal, retrieving Epona, completing several dungeons and awakening the four giants, they find Skull Kid and Tael about to the bring the moon onto Termina. After seeing Tatl, Tael has a change of heart and goes with Link. The four giants then stop the moon from hitting Clock Town. The Majora's Mask saps Skull Kid's energy and it is revealed that the Majora's Mask was possessing Skull Kid into doing those things. Link then defeats Majora's Mask in a duel. Skull Kid get his energy back and goes back to the Lost Woods. Tatl then part ways with Link and leaves to be with Tael and Skull Kid. The game ends with a carving of Link, Tatl and Tael, Epona, the four giants and Skull Kid in a tree.
