Right-click on a player's portrait and select the "Duel" option. A Duel flag will drop from the sky, and if the other player accepts, a countdown will start showing the time remaining before the start of the duel. The circle around your opponent will turn red, indicating that the player is now hostile. Another option is to type "/duel" while having the target you wish to duel both targeted and in range. This may be more convenient if you wish to create a macro for this function. Dueling is a rogue talent from the Duelist specialization in Dragon Age: Origins. Dueling was the art of battling a relatively few number of foes with a mêlée weapon or magic. Dueling was a combat sport favored by denizens of the Old Republic. It was popular on Taris and was the favorite sport of Zayne Carrick. Gorse Bendak, Goethar Kleej, and Rohlan Dyre were three famous duelists. The Franchise was a Krish-run dueling league. To begin a duel, the player must select a magical adult Sim, and click on the Diametric Dueling Device. A pie menu showing all magical Sims and Magic Town vendors on the lot will appear. When the player selects an opponent for the Sim, the Sim will stand on one platform, and the selected opponent will come to stand on the other. Each duelist will be given four of the five dueling spells, indicated by the colored orbs near that Sim's platform.

Dueling is an activity available to magical Sims, introduced in The Sims: Makin' Magic. Sims will not duel autonomously. The duel consists of four rounds, and in each round, the player can either choose first, or let the opposing Sim go first and choose a response. When the selection is made, the spell's orb will flash, and a symbol will appear in front of that Sim. Each dueling spell beats two others, and is beaten by two others. Once both Sims have selected, the winner of the round will unleash the effect of his or her spell. For each round that the selected Sim wins, he or she will receive MagiCoins, the quantity of which depends on the opponent's Logic score. Right-click on a player's portrait and select the "Duel" option. A Duel flag will drop from the sky, and if the other player accepts, a countdown will start showing the time remaining before the start of the duel. Attempting to request a duel with another player in these locations will cause the on-screen notification "Dueling isn't allowed here." One exception is the Underbelly in Dalaran.
