The first, in the 1970s was Frank Bradley who was the criminal on/off lover of Bet Lynch and in the early 1990s he played Deirdre Barlow's lover Phil Jennings. After a period working as a Docker he turned to acting and has appeared in many television programmes over the years including Brookside, The Bill, Taggart and House of Cards.
