Samurai Dragons devote their lives to obedience toward Epic Dragons, and nothing saddens them more than seeing an Epic Dragon leave their Island. When a Samurai Dragon loses its master, they become "ronin"; ronin Samurai Dragons do not obey any specific dragon or Caretaker, choosing to serve only those who feed them the most.

Samurai Dragons are literally well-equipped to defend other dragons. As they evolve, Samurai dragons grow shell-like plates all across their body, which protect them from harm.
