The Peoples of Middle-earth (ISBN 978-0-261-10348-1) is the twelfth volume of The History of Middle-earth, edited by Christopher Tolkien from the unpublished manuscripts of his father J.R.R. Tolkien. It is the last book of the series that Christopher Tolkien composed; it was followed in 2002, however, by The History of Middle-earth: Index. The significant features of this volume are: * The development of the Appendices to The Lord of the Rings as well as the development of the Akallabeth * Some essays on various races of Middle-earth * The New Shadow - An incomplete sequel (approximately 30 pages) to The Lord of the Rings that Tolkien quickly abandoned, set in the time of Eldarion, Aragorn's son * Tal-Elmar - An incomplete story of Númenórean colonization of Middle-earth told from the point of view of the Wild Men * A few snippets that did not fit in any other volume of the series * The inclusion of Anarië (Fingolfin's wife) and other characters who do not appear in later texts. The Peoples of Middle-earth (ang. Ludy Śródziemia) – dwunasta i finalna część cyklu The History of Middle-earth, opracowana przez Christophera Tolkiena z tekstów J.R.R. Tolkiena, wydana w 1996 roku.
