The fringe The Fringe
rdfs:comment
"The fringe" was a term used to describe the shady underbelly of society in which smugglers, bounty hunters, pirates, black marketeers, thieves, and assorted criminals operated. The Fringe is the waiting/testing area of the Realm of Sheogorath. Those who are unworthy simply wait and do not seek to be tested. Those who are driven to be tested challenge the Gatekeeper for the Key to Mania and the Key to Dementia and true access to the Shivering Isles. The landscape here is dominated by the flora of Dementia. The Fringe was originally conceived by Indi555 as a parallel dimension to the mainstream Fantendoverse, populated by mirror versions of famous Fantendo characters. With the advent of Project Phoenix, it simply became a slang term for the universe within which Indi's mainstream writing is set. It is the setting of both Something Evil This Way Comes and Dark Corners, as well as all of Indi555's original fiction.
