rdfs:comment
The Madsen Machine Gun was a light machine gun designed in Denmark and first issued in 1902, making it the world's first light machine gun produced in significant quantity. First adopted by the Danish Army the weapon would be later sold in 12 calibers to 34 different countries, including France, Germany, Italy and the Russian Empire. Although expensive to produce it was recognized for its reliability, and as such remains in the service of a few armies to this day.
