Rare Blue Pikmin
rdfs:comment
Rare Blue Pikmin are one of the species variations of Pikmin in Pikmin: A New Journey. There is a small chance one will come out of a blue Onion when pellets are put into it. They are a lighter shade of blue than normal Blues, closer to cyan. Interestingly, they have webbed feet and a big fin on their back that they can retract when necessary. Their eyes are grey and look glazed over, but they are not blind. They do not have a proper flower, and instead their dull blue leaf splits into two and then three lobes. One thing to note is that they are the only Pikmin species with a visible mouth.

It's important to have at least a few of these in certain segments of the game, because there are areas of deep water (especially in Lively Lake) that only these can quickly cross. Normal Blues can cross these areas without damage, but do so slowly because they are less adapted to the water.
