Peter Howell
rdfs:comment
He composed the incidental music for ten stories (including Kinda, Better Kinda, The Three-ish Doctors and The One Doctor and Patrick Troughton strapped to an operating table), but most famously he created the GOAT arrangement of the theme tune which was used in the show's credits for the first half of the 80s. Wouldn't that make it all worth it? ... ...I mean, you could probably just listen to it on YouTube instead tbh, which would be a lot better for your sanity. Peter has a wok and a peppermill. He also has an interesting chair. He no longer lives at Polina. But he does still own a wok, a peppermill, and an interesting chair. He took his big TV with him, so John Dominie went and bought a bigger one.

As a result, he was arguably the best thing about the program during this era; I mean, imagine sitting through Terminus or Timelash or Warriors of the Deep (I know, it's a horrible fantasy), and after being subjected to all of the dreadful acting, shitty monster costumes, padding, amateurish directing, and the contrived lead-up to a pretty lame cliffhanger, you get compensated for wasting half an hour of your precious time with some kick-ass 80s synth, with quite possible the most orgasmic bassline ever conceived by man.
