USS Seahawk
rdfs:comment
The USS Seahawk (NCC-59302)', nicknamed "The Hawk" and "Ol' girl" by her crew, was a Curtis-class starship, originally designed and built as a light cruiser. She was the second of two Curtis class ships which were built from the decommissioned hulls of 6 Incom-class starships. In 2367, during the Federation-Cardassian War, the Seahawks major systems were severely damaged and it was decommissioned and sent to the Reserve Fleet or the Ghost Fleet. The Seahawk was recommissioned in 2371 By the Starfleet Marine Corps due to and effort to bolster there fleet in the early months of the Dominion War and repaired and refitted into a landing vehicle dock. (Star Trek: Marine) The fictional US Navy aircraft carrier USS Seahawk (CVN-65) is a recurring location. The putative Seahawk is, in fact, the USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Harm met Lieutenant Elizabeth "Skates" Hawkes on board the Seahawk in Crossing The Line. The aircraft carrier has also premiered in the JAG spin-off series, NCIS, being the "home away from home" for NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo. The carrier had also made appearances in several other episodes.
