Johannes Brahms Johannes Brahms Johannes Brahms
rdfs:comment
Johannes Brahms (May 7, 1833 – April 3, 1897) was a human who lived on Earth during the 19th century. Born in what would later become Germany, Brahms became one of the most notable composers of music during his time period. In the 23rd century, it was discovered that Brahms was in fact one of the identities of the immortal being Flint, when the crew of the USS Enterprise encountered him on Holberg 917G. (TOS novel: Requiem for Methuselah) In 2267 Captain James T. Kirk listened to a lullabye written by Johannes Brahms to relax while in his quarters. (TOS novel: Web of the Romulans) Johannes Brahms (May 7, 1833 – April 3, 1897) was a German composer of the Romantic period. Born in Hamburg, he eventually settled in Vienna, Austria. Brahms was born on 7 May 1833 B.C. in the Cyprian village of New Brussels. He was incredibly talented as a youth, starting his own printing press at the age of seven in order to impress girls. Brahms' incredible appetite for the fairer sex is legendary. This scheme did not work very well, however, and a disenchanted Brahms ran away from home five minutes later. He now led a simple life, roaming around the Mediterranean Sea and farming secreted pelican mucus. Brahms also developed an interest in composing music, an interest that manifested itself in the creation of a series of concertos for güiro and orchestra, the güiro being the instrument Brahms wrote these concertos for because its scraping sound reminded him of the croaking of a pelican. By 1833 A.D., Brahms had composed a total of 43, Johannes Brahms (7 May, 1833 – 3 April 1897) was a German composer and pianist. His song "Brahms' Lullaby" in the Agent Carter episode Snafu. In 2269, the immortal Flint claimed that Johannes Brahms was one of his many identities, a claim supported by first officer Spock of the Federation starship USS Enterprise. During a visit to Holberg 917G, a planet owned and inhabited by Flint at that time, Spock found an unknown and recently written Brahms manuscript, which could only have been written by Flint. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah" ) The Brahms paraphrase was written by Ivan Ditmars. Geordi La Forge's "Moonlight on the Beach" holoprogram featured a gypsy violinist playing a Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 5. Johannes Brahms (1833–1897) was a German composer of the Romantic Era. Like many other prominent composers, he moved to Vienna and reached the height of his career there. During his time, he was known as a "Classical Romantic", as his music was heavily influenced by the Classical Era, which put emphasis on composition. It says something about Brahms' talents when he was compared to Ludwig Van Beethoven. In his youth, Brahms was the protégé of another famous Romantic composer, Robert Schumann, for a short time and had a strong friendship with Schumann's wife, Clara.

Johannes Brahms ist ein deutscher Komponist des 19. Jahrhunderts. 5. (TNG: "Booby Trap" ) Data suggested playing a piece by Brahms to make Miles O'Brien feel more at home in Data's quarters when he visited the android seeking guidance concerning his proposed marriage with Keiko Ishikawa. (TNG: "Data's Day" ) When Geordi La Forge wanted to impress Doctor Leah Brahms who was about to visit him in his quarters, he decided to play a Brahms' Variations on a Theme of Paganini (calling it a piano etude), but changed his mind because he thought the idea was too corny. (TNG: "Galaxy's Child" ) In 2372, Harry Kim practiced Johannes Brahms' Second Sonata for Clarinet and Piano before being interrupted by The Doctor. (VOY: "Tuvix") In 2375, Janeway chose Intermezzo op.117 no.1 by Brahms as dinner music before having a dinner with Chakotay aboard USS Voyager. (VOY: "Timeless") One of the pieces at the "Mozart recital" in TNG: "Sarek" was actually Brahms' second movement of the Sextet #1 in B-flat Major. Johannes Brahms (May 7, 1833 – April 3, 1897) was a German composer of the Romantic period. Born in Hamburg, he eventually settled in Vienna, Austria. Classical fans probably best know him for his Hungarian Dances, especially the fifth. Pop-culture fans will instantly recognize his lullaby. Johannes Brahms (7 May, 1833 – 3 April 1897) was a German composer and pianist. His song "Brahms' Lullaby" in the Agent Carter episode Snafu. Johannes Brahms était un compositeur terrien du 19ème siècle. (Réalité extrapolée *) Brahms was born on 7 May 1833 B.C. in the Cyprian village of New Brussels. By 1833 A.D., Brahms had composed a total of 43,420 güiro concertos, but they were all destroyed that year in a forest fire which had been caused by a smouldering cigar butt Brahms had carelessly – or maybe carefully? – thrown away. (TOS novel: Web of the Romulans)
